In the past we've had to put together documentation on e-mail client
configuration. I think every ISP or support provider has had to at one
point or another. End-users seem to need a very verbose documentation and
pictures before they figure something as simple as email configuration out.
I was considering maybe putting together a page where we could all
contribute text and screen shots on configuring different clients on
different platforms. Most of us dont have access to older clients, or in
mac clients for example. If anyone is interested in contributing screen
shots of a few clients' mail config screens, feel free to e-mail me
off-list. I can assemble all of them on to a site. I would suggest setting
the settings to something like smtp.YourISP.com and pop3.YourISP.com - the
rest of you can always Photoshop these images. :)
