Scott,
I was able to make it 'work' by including the -h hostname parameter (not in
the manual!). When I used '-h ipswitch.com' as another parameter, the
message appeared to come from a user on that host (the reply address was
that which I specified, ie, [EMAIL PROTECTED]) and from that 'server'
(although the IP shown was my IMail computer, not the mailserver for
ipswitch.com). The KB tell you how to use it (and says it is for ipless
domains). Not sure that it will do exactly what you want, but worth a try.
Could be it worked because 'ipswitch.com' is a valid Host Alias for another
computer on my network. But looking more carefully at the headers, that does
not appear to be the reason. All header stuff looks the same, except now
'ipswitch.com' is replacing the 'real hostname' of my computer. The IP in
the header could cause some delivery problems as the receiving server could
check the IP, name and do a reverse lookup to confirm the sending host.
