Hi,
We haven't tried this exactly though we have tried using IMail to a share
(located on the same computer) and it is really slow. Basically most of the
speed to you get from your filesystem is through intelligent caching by NTFS
so when you use the share you basically lose that caching and everything is
about 20% of the speed. Also the CPU load is significant when using shares
as all data transfer goes through the networking subsystem.
I'd be really interested in what happens with this.

I would Like to configure 2 imail boxes using the same SQL user database via
ODBC. I have a load balancing switch which will direct traffic to the boxes
based on availability. I will have the users mail boxes located on a
mounted file system accessible to both systems. Will I run into A read/write

I have looked into peering but it doesn't offer the same solution as load
balancing.
