Jim,

I use WhatsUp Gold by Ipswitch to monitor all of our ISP infrastructure,
including customized Oracle SQL server process monitoring and other
specially adapted services. Alarms are sent by email and pager. Along with
the alarming, we configured regular status reports (if these don't arrive,
something failed).

Additionally, we do cross-check surveillance with our neighbour ISP. They
monitor our WhatsUp Station and vice versa.

This configuration fits our needs and I can recommend it.

Marius

Subject: [IMail Forum] E-mail Web Monitoring Software

Hi folks!
Before I pose my question to this forum. I would like to commend you all
on your proficient skills in answering the questions posed in this forum.
They have been a great help to me in my first use and management of Imail.

What I would like your opinion on is Email & Web Monitoring & Control
Software. The powers that be have decided that our business has grown to a
point where monitoring is necessary. I have been shopping around a bit but
have not found anything that would encompass all that I wish. I run Imail
with Pop3/SMTP with a Proxy IIS on Windows NT Server. Only about 100 users.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
