Alex,
Been a while since I used that version, but it is possible that it does not
like the '.' in the path (if it works from the console, then the problem is
probably the Web Templates). Try using a '_" instead and see if that works.
The version you have, could have 'improved templates' in a later version.
Yes, you do have to 'save' the host configuration, then click 'configure'
button, then OK (when done on that screen) and Save again. Perfectly normal.
Also possible, that by using an external DB is adding some complications for
the Web problem. Could even be that it is causing troubles, adding the
domain, because it won't allow the '.' (speculation, but possible!)
