I know the next version of J Mail is supposed to have SMTP AUTH support, and I know that the aspemail comp from persits, supports it if you register and upgrade from the "free" version.

So the whole idea is dead unless we can find sendmail pgm that does SMTP AUTH and can be tested for success.
