I have similiar situation as you do. However, there is no duplicate logging
problem for me because I use cold fusion and the <cfhttp> tag would solve my
problem. I think there is a similiar COM object for the ASP as well. I saw
it in www.serverobjects.com called aspHTTP 3.5. In addition I have move all
the password change functionality to just one site. The site that use SQL
server.
Then, I would use imail6's adduser.exe to change the password via command
prompt (AspEXEC also offered at www.serverobjects.com for free).

Here is my dilemma. I have a website in which I have to have a login to the
site AND a login to the email section. This duplicate logging is for
security reasons. I have to have the usernames and passwords identical for
both logins.
When a person signs up, I have it set (using a dll) to create the site login
and password, and the IMail login and password concurrently. The site login
and password are stored in an SQL db and the IMail ones in the LDAP. My
issue isn't with the username, but with the password. If they change it in
the IMail email package, how do I get it to change outside in the SQL db, or
conversely, if they change it outside of IMail, how do I get it to reflect
in the LDAP (without writing another dll). My thoughts are to make Imail
use sql instead of ldap, but I would rather not after reading some of the
issues that have come to light on the IMail forum. My next thought is to
use the <!--Imail.include.xxx.asp --> the pchgpass.html file and send it
through an asp script and pass the password tag through so that it updates
the site login password in the sql db.Does anyone have any input on this
whole issue. Your input is very much appreciated.
