that's "half a C cup",  ip net mask 255.255.255.128 or /25 (somebody 2bl

yes, but you're letting in also the /25 bottom half of the your Class C.

try : 208.170.56.128 netmask 255.255.255.128  (again, somebody check that)

wrong syntax, it wants to see the netmask as "dotted decimal", "dotted quad".
