IMail - How to change the IP address

In this article, it says:

"If you have not done so, bind the new IP address to the NIC card in Control
Panel | Network | TCP/IP | Properties."

this is my quesion actually: Does this mean Imail will only see the IP that
is bound to the NIC card or does it also see the IPs in the Advanced section
as well?
