I did testing tonight to see if "Relay for Addresses" option is working properly.
I asked several people to test it for me by using a different ISP to dialup and
check/send their email through Outlook Express and Netscape Mail Messenger.
It went OK with Netscape Mail Messenger.
However, in Outlook Express, it gives an error message:
"The connection to the server has failed. Account mail.bsu.net server
mail.bsu.net(our mail domain) Protoco; SMTP Port 25 Secure SSL no socket error 10060.
Error # OX8OOCOE."
What's wrong???
In IMail Administrator, under SMTP Security, I uncheck the "disable SMTP AUTH
reporting" (actually this isn't even checked when we are just using "RELAY FOR ANYONE"
option. The disable SMTP VRFY command box is checked though.
Please help! I don't know what's wrong...
And actually, before I did the testing (before the option is changed to Relay for
Addresses), a user called and said he got the same error message.
