Humankind Systems, Inc. announces the significant upgrade version 2.5
release of EZSignUp for IMail server, which allows users to create their
own email account on your server. Registered EZSignUp users can download
the new version for free at http://humankindsystems.com/downloads, while
new users can purchase at http://humankindsystems.com/products.
New Features of EZSignUp v2.5 (vs. v2.0)
- EZSignUp now uses the LDAPer.exe utility to populate the LDAP fields
for each new user, in addition to the registry and/or external database.
- We've written and included our own custom COM object, called
hksiSafeExec.dll, instead of the ASPexec.dll by ServerObjects, since
ours is more security-conscious: it allows the execution of .exe files
ONLY in the IMail directory.
- We've moved all ASP configuration variables into a separate file, so
you don't have to look through too much ASP code to change the important
stuff for your configuration.
- We bundle the great freeware product JMail by Dimac to take care of
the mailing of welcome and notification messages... you can even see how
we use JMail, and use it for other purposes on your system if you wish.
(No more CDONTS, no more IMail1.exe and temp files!)
- We've completely rewritten the installation and configuration
instructions in a friendlier, easier-to-read html format. You can
preview them at http://mail.hksi.net/signup/readme.html.
- We've added the updating of the MAXSIZE field with a default value,
since adduser.exe does not populate this field when external databases
are used.
- Finally, we've wrapped everything up in an InstallShield
auto-installer, which greatly simplifies the installation process.
Thank you all for your continued business and trust... we're working
hard to make your jobs easier!
All the Best,
Ron
