Ernesto,

It sure does! If the SMTP service does not 'recognize' the users for an
incoming message, it probably won't accept the email. And if the MS SMTP
just happens to have a user of the correct name, it will not be able to
place that message into the IMail users mailbox, so messages will never be
delivered to the user!

And with the MS SMTP service running and you trying to send a message, the
SMTP settings for MS could affect the delivery (and it is not IMail
delivering the message!). So how can you blame IMail for not working when it
is not the one perfroming the job???

I do see that you have shut off the MS service and IMail is answering. Again
here is their responses:

209.150.30.137
220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server mail.edigisol.com (IMail 6.03 18822-2)

207.112.84.130
220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server mail.trg-intl.com (IMail 6.04 EVAL 22-1)

Now you stand a chance of making IMail work! I did! I just relayed a message
to myself via your server. Here is the full message:

Hello Dan!
--------------

As you can see, IMail is now working and capable of delivering an external
email. I also sent a message to the Root user and you should check that
account to see it and prove IMail is working.

Now, this was all done via SMTP and a Telnet session, so no DNS data was
required. That means I did not check your DNS, so it may have problems.
Without correct DNS data, then sending email with standard address forms may
not work. If the full machine name (mail.trg-intl.com) does have an A record
(which it does) then I would suggest you use that full name as the part
after the @ in the email address. Trying to send to the shorter form (domain
name) will cause mail to follow the MX route, which may not yet be correct.
