I have Email Server 5.0 running and we recently upgraded to Outlook
Express 5 from Outlook Express 4. And now we are having problems downloading
mail from the server. It will notify us that a new email has arrived but
when we click on the Send/Receive button, it does not show in the viewing
window. But next to the inbox folder it will display (1) letting us know
that there is in fact a new email. The way we have been getting around this
is we select another folder and then select the inbox folder again, and the
mail will sometimes be viewed. If not we have to connect to the server
directly through the web and read the mail there. Problem I am facing is
that alot of the people in my company do not have internet access causing
them to miss important emails.
So the question comes up is do I have to bring everyone back down to
Outlook Express 4, do I have to upgrade the server version, or is there a
simple switch or change that has to be made to my server to accommodate the
upgraded version of Outlook Express 5? Any and all help will be appreciated.
Thank You
Marc Scherling..
