David,

In IMail, only the normal Debug checkbox. But I seem to recall something
form the release notes for 6.04 (or earlier) that did state something about
a debug setting. I'd have to chase that down.

Is the mail going to an external server? Maybe some limit at that end that
will only allow a certain number of recepients?

If you eliminate the Gateway, you say IMail works OK?! Then I would have to
say it is not IMail, but the gateway limiting the input. But without knowing
more (logs from both might tell us something), cannot state that for a fact.

If the email addresses that are being processed, are to different domains,
then I would expect IMail to connect to one domain and deliver and
disconnect. Unless the email addresses were consecutive and to multiple
users on the same domain, then I too would expect it to have multiple RCPT
TO: lines, so it would be more efficient in delivery. Unless the gateway is
posing some limit as above. I've not seen a log from IMail in this
situation, so not sure what it might show.

Found this in the 6.04 Release notes. Might give a bit more info in the log.
At least it would tell you which messages are actually delivered in the
session.

o Logging additions for SMTP, IMAP and POP3.
  - Added message status notification to log system. The
user can now set a registry key to toggle logging of
the delivery of a message to a mailbox. The message's
UIDL and the mailbox it is delivered to are noted.

To have the new log entries added to the log, you must
add this key to the registry and give it a value of 1.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail\Global\LogMsgStatus
The messages are in the standard IMail log format.
Here are the log entries for various types of server
    actions:

    SMTP:
     Delivery:
       Message xxxx delivered to yyyy
    POP3:
     Read:
       Message xxxx read from yyyy
     Delete:
       Message xxxx deleted from yyyy
    IMAP:
     Read:
       Message xxxx read from yyyy
     Delete:
       Message xxxx deleted from yyyy
     Move:
Message xxxx copied from yyyy to xxxx in yyyy.
     Append:
       Message xxxx appended to yyyy.
     Expunge:
       Message xxxx expunged from yyyy.

     Where:
xxxx - The UIDL of the message.
       yyyy - The mailbox path.

It is important to note that a POP3 delete entry
means the message was physically removed from the
mailbox, while an IMAP4 delete entry means the
message was "marked" for deletion, but not physically
removed. An IMAP4 "Expunge" physically removes the
     message from the mailbox.

BTW, I'm on my way home in a couple of minutes. I'll try to check email
later tonight from home, to see what else you find. Have a good evening!

Daniel Donnelly
