I'd have to agree with you. Our modest-volume customer list (about 500
addresses, about 20 msgs per day) is just crunching our PIII-500 server
trying to get everything delivered. So I set up SendMail as a gateway,
thinking that would help, but the IMail spool *continued* to fill up with
list files, and the problem actually got worse. Now we're back to IMail
alone for sending, with 60 SMTP processes, and 10 recips per process. It's
doing "okay", but certainly not performing like a good listserver should.
Another concern is the large number of bounces we're getting, and these are
predominantly IMail admin addresses! Many, many "unknown users" coming back,
so I suspect something on the receiving end of IMail v6 as well.

Never though list management would be a PIA with only 500 subscribers... but
it is. Are there any big-time list mgrs out there using IMail v6? Surely
someone is managing more than a few thousand subscribers... are there tricks
or configurations we're missing here?
