Since he's logging in to check mail every 2 minutes, he's probably running into a
delivery. Especially if he's got a busy mailbox.
What happens is the POP client checks the mailbox at the same time that SMTP is
delivering a message. The POP3 server returns "...Failure to lock mailbox" which also
means "I didn't log you in". But the client ignores the error message and tries to do
a "STAT" to see how many messages there are in the mailbox. Since the client is not
logged in, the POP server returns "...wrong state"
