I'll agree with most of what you're saying but there is some mis-information
here. that has to do with the "closing that instance when the message is
delivered (the same time it takes to get the 'message delivered' from Web
MSG). " statement. The "Message Delivered" is generated when the Imail1
receives the message to process. Sequence of events as follows. Click on
send in Web Messaging. This creates a temp file. A process is then started
which calls IMail1 and passes the temp file name as a parameter. At this
point Web Messaging considers the message delivered. Imail1 goes into its
process which, as you said, is impacted by other internal and external
forces before completion and end of process. Hope this clears things up.
