I saw the same thing this morning, hundreds of them in the event log, about
5 a second or so. I rebooted the server and everything seemed to calm down.
Running 6.04 on Win2K. Exploit maybe?

Subject: [IMail Forum] SMTP32 Failures
We keep getting messages on our Windows NT 2000 Advanced Server console
saying "SMTP32.EXE: The application failed to initialize properly
(0xc0000142)". Click OK to terminate the application.
We had about 20 of these on our server this morning. The mail server seems
to be functioning ok, but I'm sure this can't be good.
We are running Imail 6.05.
