Scott,

Thanks for the feedback! So it looks like we have one possible 'fix' when
settings don't seem to be working as shown. Guess I'd recommend the same
process (toggle setting with stop/start of service after each change) for
anybody who is experiencing something similiar.

Also, if you ignore the patch telling you to restart, this can cause some
strange things like this. I tried this at least once (couple of revs back)
and some things were OK, but some not and a restart of the computer, fixed
everything. My patch to 6.05 did not request a restart, but I'm certain one
would not hurt! So far, I have not and have not noticed any problems. Guess
I'd say, that a restart can also be a 'fix' when a setting may not be
working as 'set'. But first, I _always_ try the stop/start of the service in
question. Quicker and works more often than not. If not, then restart.

However, one should be able to trust the settings, so the best way, is to
make the change, Apply it, then stop/start that service. Now, IMail should
use the changed settings. There are some settings in IMail, that do not
require the stop/start (like the DNS IPs in SMTP), but just easier to
remember the above rule, than all the settings that can be changed 'on the
fly'.
