Steve,

If that line you added, is the last line, it MUST be followed by a <CRLF>
(the 'Enter' key) at the end of the line, (would look like a blank line at
the end of the file) or NT cannot parse it correctly.

Of course, you also must have the SMTP Security, Relay, (you did not mention
this!) set to either Anyone (not recommended) or Addresses (use this!) and
the IP of the remote server must be entered in the Address table.

Hello I was working on trying to setup the Imail server to act as a backup
for a domain and followed the instructions like the manual said and the
online knowledge base but I still get this
220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server mail.xxxxxxxx.com (IMail 6.05 5-1)
MAIL FROM test@localhost
250 ok
RCPT TO [EMAIL PROTECTED]
550 not local host xxx.com, not a gateway
I have the host name setup in the host file pointing to the IP just like
they said but it aint wanting to let it work.
