I host mail for the alumni department at Union University. We
recently changed IP addresses on our servers, so I had them change the
ip address on their DNS server, but now only mail directed to
@alumni.union.edu is delivered. Previously the address
@mail.alumni.union.edu worked as well.
I have tried reversing the official names and the alias (I do have
both listed), but to no avail. I believe it is a dns issue, but my
limited dns skills are preventing me from checking their setup.
Could one of you DNS experts dig into their dns to determine if there
is any real problem.
