Mark,
This worked well. I discovered that
I had/used a set of EVAL Install disks. Both me and a friend bought
NT 4.0 at the same time. Both install disk sets are corrupt. I have
about 8 install sets which MS sent to both of us, including a bunch of eval
stuff. I think they just got mixed up.
Thanks for your help.

Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] OT: NT 4.0
Expiration Error
If I
remember correctly, NT 4 has to be totally reinstalled when you get that
error.. Are you sure you didn't use an evaluation copy when you
installed it.. say 120 days ago?
W2K
no longer requires an complete reinstall..
Here
is the KB article regarding your problem.. looks like you have a few
options...
Mark
I tried the KB but could not get any results on
this
I am
running NT 4.0 SP6a. I own the software but am getting an
evaluation period expired error. I know this is something that is a
known issue but I don't remember how to fix it. I have run NT for a long
time but I had removed it to try out win 98. (That was a huge error
in judgment). I put NT back on a couple of months ago, maybe more.
I am getting the error that says the server will shutdown in 1
hour.... (I did not look that close to remember exactly what
it said when it was booting.
Can anyone tell me how to overcome this
or where the info is to fix?
Thanks
