Why in outlook express is it checking both mail accounts when only one is the default?

Even though one is the default it will still check the others if you have checked the little box in the account that says, "check this account"

Subject: [IMail Forum] Account confusion

Hello:

Currently I have two mail accounts set up in outlook express, mail.starphire.com and milkyway.starphire.com. When I open outlook express it checks for mail on both of them.  The first one checks out fine, but on the second one I recieve the error message, The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'milkyway.starphire.com', Server: 'milkyway.starphire.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E.  Why in outlook express is it checking both mail accounts when only one is the default? Also, I was wondering why I'm getting a no socket error and milkyway.starphire.com is failing to connect.

Thanks,

Gerald Coleman
