Gerald,
Actually the Winsock error number 10060, is a timeout error. Either the
client is not waiting long enough, or it is not setup correctly, so cannot
establish the connection. It is also possible that the server is not
responding. Is the Pop3 service on that computer running ( I could not
telnet to port 110 or port 25 and I could not Ping it)? Are you sure the IP
for that FQDN is correct? Is there a route to that host or something
blocking access?

Subject: [IMail Forum] Account confusion
Hello:
Currently I have two mail accounts set up in outlook express,
mail.starphire.com and milkyway.starphire.com. When I open outlook express
it checks for mail on both of them. The first one checks out fine, but on
the second one I recieve the error message, The connection to the server has
failed. Account: 'milkyway.starphire.com', Server: 'milkyway.starphire.com',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0E. Why in outlook express is it checking both mail
accounts when only one is the default? Also, I was wondering why I'm getting
a no socket error and milkyway.starphire.com is failing to connect.
Thanks,
Gerald Coleman
