It was the networking abortion that 3com and MS hatched in the late
80's. Then 3com got smart and realized they didn't have a clue about
networking OS's and dumped the mess on MS, who didn't have any more
clue what to do with it. I remember taking a LanMan course from MS
where logging on to LanMan network took about 3 minutes (from the
time you entered your password until you got a prompt. I assume the
MS instructor who gave this very expensive course on MS's $7K Grid
portables knew how to set up LanMan).
It ran on NetBIOS API and on NetBEUI (another architectural network
"innovation" from MS that was insecure and non-routeable, and still
so years after Novell had been WAN routing ipx/spx).

The error is saying you don't have it: "nonexistent", so how do you
expect to delete it?
How to stop the error? Well, W2K is just a GUI so it's very easy to
use. Just click on all combinations of the radio buttons and keep
rebooting to see what happens. Then, you'll probably have to hack
the registry.
btw, it's not an Imail pb, so I suggest you try asking MS for help,
or go look on MS's web site.
