I would like to see IPSwitch add to Imail the ability to have the lastlogin
written to an external database such as SQL or Access. Then a command-line
utility should be written to read the lastlogin fields to see if they are
say more than 240 days old, and if they are it will output that information
to a file called oldaccounts.log or it will take an action such as calling
the Orphan and/or adduser program which will use the oldaccounts.log list to
delete the accounts including the folder. This would certainly save a lot
of resources on the Imail server from having to try to search through all
the folders for a lastlogin file. This feature would make Imail much more
attractive for large e-mail projects. If a command-line utility can be
written to write and read lastlogin fields in an external database, then
adduser should be modified to be able to read the oldaccount.log file so it
can be delete those user accounts from the system.
