only problem being that I am running an eval version at present, so my next
question is..
Can I overwrite an eval version (expires in seven days)which I have not been
able to evaluate very well at all, with a new eval version ?

Sounds like a template problem. I'd recommend you upgrade to 6.05a with all
the patches, then get a current set of templates from Ipswitch or from us.
