Well, easy to spot now, but not really all that foolproof. Is there anyway
to work around this and let names include characters like that? To me - it's
not easy to fix (onus on non-technical mass of email users) - and it sound
pretty lazy on behalf of technical standards development. Really. It seems
like one of those dumb little things.
Couldn't the (List Server / SMTP / what ever it's called) code work
BACKWARDS in the SMTP "envelope" and isolate the email and accept everything
else as the name?
The whole point is USER FRIENDLINESS.
Arrgh. Ok. Humm. Hruump. It's out of my system. It's a total pet peeve that
a technical response is "user required to fix because of poor technical
development". It's also non-foolproof code. Arrgh (ok - a little steam still
pouring from my ears).
I see if I can communicate to the use what they have to do and hope they
change their name.
Arrgh.
