yes, of course, "backup MX" and relaying is clearly explained in the
Imail6 manual.

Wow, are you just making this up? This is EXACTLY how the RFC's and
various books describe it.

>2) the Imail server would have a bag account

oops, here you "somehow" drive off into the ditch.

No MX other than the top MX has any mail duplicate or "bag"
accounts/mailboxes on behalf of the top MX. They only have mail
spooling facilities.

Could he be refering to a nobody account on the Imail machine?

>*now this is the **ghost** part that I'm not sure of*

good, erase Casper the Friendly from your fertile imagination. poof!! :))

Per MS new pricing/billing, ghost require a new license for each machine
ghosted. Please direct your questions, payments and gun fire to Redmond WA.

no, the "non-top" MX's "push" their stored/queued mail towards the
top MX, which never "pulls" the mail from the non-top MX's (how would
it know it's out there?)

It sounds a bit like etern? I know that we have done this previously, but
the brains behind it as well as the customer asking for it have both gone
with the wind.

"Lire le foutu manuel", as we say en Français. :)))
