I do agree though, I don't think I've evern seen an infected email that
wasn't sent by the virus itself.

99% of these infected mails are junk, false msgs, anyway.
It's not like you're trying to save the only copy of a $600 program
.exe on your hard disk that you don't have a backup copy of.
The smtp scanner informs the sender of the infection, the sender can
disinfect himself and resend a clean msg (if it was a valid msg originally).
I've decided I don't really want to waste my time trying to save
infected msgs. They aren't that valuable per msg (compared to my
time) and there are 100's of them.
If it's infected, tough luck. Send it again. If it's such an
important msg, the sender should also have copy in his sent box.
