Yes thanks i already saw this in knowledge base but i saw it afterwards. I
mean IMail is supposed to support SMTP AUTH and it is supposed to support
external databases. So I wasn't going to explicitly search for 'external
databases and SMTP AUTH' issues.
You search the knowledge base when you have a specific problem and how could
I guess that combining those option wouldn't work ?
Since the date of the issue, I'm quite disappointed that there are no
warnings in the imail administrator when you switch a db from Registry to
external. I wouldn't have taken all the hours it took for exporting the
users and chaning the settings if i had a message in Administrator like
"warning: If your users are using SMTP auth, they will not be able to send
mail." IPSwitch should have at least added this to the administrator since
it's a known and unfixed bug.
