I noticed when I created a list in the web interface to play around with
before trying to explain to a customer how to use it, that when you add
users to the list in the web interface it subscribed them as
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and when a user subscribes to the list by sending an
email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] is just subscribes them as [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I noticed this because I was able to accidentally subscribe the same
email list twice, once from the web interface, once from email.
After looking at the users.lst and users.txt, the users.lst file has all
the users subscribed via the web interface with <> surrounding the name,
and all that subscribed from email do not.
Also, there are no entries in the users.txt file for the users that were
added via the web interface.
This sounds like it could be a problem when it comes to un-subscribing, or
do any commands the would require validation of the email address.
Is there a fix, or is this a known problem, or is it just me?
Thanks,
Todd
