Scott isn't selling his product hard enough.

Depending on what they're paying you, it would probably be less expensive (for
them) just to nail up Declude than pay you to get NAV running efficiently and
securely.  You can have Declude up and running in 15 minutes(or less).

>From my viewpoint, the primary advantage to using one of the "gateway" type
products is distributing the load among different machines in a CPU
constrained environment.  If you're planning to use a single machine, then
Declude is a no-brainer.
