It depends what you mean by 'peer' if you mean do sharing a single domain
across 2 servers then I think this would be tricky or impossible (you would
probably have to specify a different table name for each Imail server then
configure IMail peering for the domain (have no idea if this would work
though).
If you mean running lots of domains and sharing them over different IMail
servers with 1 SQL server then this works great.

The current ODBC dll works great (SQL7) for lots of domains with fewer than
~10000 users per domain. It does not suit domains with more users because it
only has 1 concurrent sql connection per domain.
