It's because client-side connections typically start using port 1025 and go up from
there. For example, to connect to a web site, you will connect to port 80 on the
other end, but you will use port 1025 on this end. For each graphic you download, you
will start using 1026, 1027, etc. It keeps going up like that.
If you start IMail after a lot of connections have been made, it's possible that port
2525 could be in use (the connections stay in memory for about 5 minutes after they
are closed).
