We do use web messaging and we use it quite heavily. My goal is to get the
correct solution to an issue where an user interface operates incorrectly or
even leaves the user in doubt as to what happened. I did not qualify whether
or not it made sense to do what I suggested. I merely pointed out that the
web interface permits it to happen; that given the correct environment or
sequence of events, the web interface then responded in an unexpected or
perhaps unreasonable manner.
As regards your comment:

In fact, the web interface DOES permit you to do that. Given that the user
selects "Save my outgoing messages in my Sent folder" and then sends a
message, the web interface allows you to move a message to the sent folder,
or any other listed folder which has a corresponding physical mailbox file.
If the user deletes the Sent folder using "Manage Folders", the web
interface continues to generate the Sent folder from the
IMAIL.ShowAllMailboxes tag even though the physical mailbox file no longer
exists.

You apparently don't use web messaging. Many others do use web messaging
and may or may not be interested in my comments about web messaging. Please
feel free to use the delete button on any messages from me. I use the delete
button quite liberally when I see messages that do not interest me.

Please read my message "Default Mailbox files" VERY carefully. No where will
you find the word BUG. What I said was "This issue provides an inconsistent
user interface."
I am not in a position to judge whether you are in a position to judge how
much of the manual I have or have not read. On second thought, maybe I am.
If you have noted a technical omission or error on my part, please feel free
to point it out.
Well, this is a forum for IMail. My messages were about web messaging as a
part of IMail. I think they were on topic. I did mention in several of my
messages that I had just upgraded to Version 6.06 from 4.x. I felt I had
some issues to discuss. Everyone's perspective is different. I saw it as
constructive criticism.You may see that as crusading against Ipswitch. I
would not have purchased the upgrade if I didn't think that IMail had some
merit. On the other hand, that does not require me to think the product is
perfect.
