Thanks for your answers but tey odn2t seem necesary for me.I know Imail can
use external db but it just stores USERID,PASSWORD
,FULLNAME,USERDIR,MAILADDR,MAXSIZE,MAXMSGS,FLAGS, TYPE
fields.It doesn't store organization,address(street1,city..etc.) information
in db.I think it strores them in folers so while a user updates his info
from imail's pages it may change in folders but it won't change in my user
db.How can i store all of the information(such as organization,address..and
others which imail stores) in this db and while updating how can i prevent
these kind of problems?

instead of folders?
Fatih,
IMail does have the capabilities of using an external DB for user
information (mailboxes are still stored in the users folders). There is a
special dll, ODBCUSER.DLL (used the name as a keyword to search the
Knowledgebase or the manual), designed for this purpose and a few
modifications around for some specialized db applications. If you are using
an ODBC compliant DB, then it should work with your DB. It might mean adding
some new fields to your DB to support those used by IMail.
