We have a client our website that sends messages to a sales account on thier
home server via our Imail box. The messages have been holding in the queue
until they have bounced 20 times and then the bounce comes to the postmaster
as expected.

Sending mail to the same account via an Exchange server works. Looking at
the Exchange log it tried the Primary MX record for the corporate e-mail
server and when it failed to respond, it went ahead and switched to the
secondary MX record and delivered the mail.

In the Imail logs, I see where it tries to connect to the Primary MX record
and receives back a 421 SMTP Service not Available error and queues the
message again.

Is there a configuration option that needs to be set so that if the first
delivery fails, try the secondary MX, third, fourth, etc?

TIA
This list is a wonderful resource!!!!!
