no there isn't a config for this. What is happening is that IMail will try
to connect to primary MX (as you saw). Since it is getting a response it
assumes it is a valid connection. When the connection is dropped IMail will
re-queue the message until the number of tries before returning is reached.
The problem here is they have their DNS set up wrong. The primary MX record
is not pointing to an SMTP server it seems.
