I used to get this error when I would download a new message and open it
before it was finished downloading completely.

I have had this happen more than a few time with OE when set to synching
headers . Fix? not yet. workaround? Delete local file (File
>Properties>Local Files>Delete Button) and then you can re-download the
headers and it should be there. Works every time for me. You can also "move"
this message to another folder and read it from there.
>From my investigations this looks like it is a client issue as it doesn't
happen with non-Ms products. Have tested Eudora, Netscape, and theBat.
