Was Webshield bought "stand-alone" or as part of a company wide move to McAfee
"Total Virus Defense" or similar bundled enterprise desktop/server package.
If there is another legitimate reason for the Mcafee expense, then just
install Declude Virus, turn on SMTP iMail SMTP auth, turn off Webshield and
tell your people the $500.00 is for spam control.
Your goals will be met for minimal dollars. If you need more incoming spam
control, add Declude JunkMail.
You can still "sell" the fact that Mcafee is the virus scanner - technically
it will be, as Declude will use it (command line version) to scan mail.
Your situation really is the IDEAL scenario for using Declude over any of the
"gateway" scanners. You'll quickly spend more $$$ in time locking down
WebShield than just dropping in Declude.
