Had the same problem with Outlook Express. Fixed
it by entering IP address of LDAP server instead of its DNS name.

Subject: [IMail Forum] LDAP crashing
Outlook
Has
anyone had problems with LDAP crashing MS Outlook clients? Some of my users use the LDAP server
built into IMail and some have no problems but with some others OUTLOOK.EXE
will crash while trying to resolve a name. We figured out one such case when we
set the LDAP “max results” number to 500 on the server side. The client was not able to handle
all the results (we think) so it crashed. But we set that back and it worked
but we still have the occasional user that Outlook (and Outlook Express)
will crash on while using LDAP.
Any
help is very much appreciated!
