>just use RAID 5 or 10 for storing the mailboxes and also for SQL

uh, not RAID5 !!! :)))

Here's a quote, today coincidentally, from the developer of postfix
in the postfix user list:

>"Postfix I/O is dominated by random writes, which gives the worst
>possible performance with RAID 5 systems.
>
>Wietse"

(That previous word is his first name)

Now, "postfix i/o" is the same as Imail i/o is the same as any mail
server's i/o:

mailq files + log files + mailbox files.

The best RAID for a mail system is RAID 0 + 1 (striping over
multiple disks + mirror of the stripe disk sets).

And since disk i/o dominates mail server performance, it's best to
have multiple independent disk channels for 1) system + logging, 2)
mailboxes 3) mailq

Easier said that bought! Get out your check books!
