Excellent point... Maybe it's not so bad having stagnant accounts after
all... :)  Maybe I'll just go back to Mr. Dorman's referenced KB article for
the DOS mod dates.

Hm... this wouldn't work for me, though. Since I am dealing with users on a
daily basis I can safely say that you may not expect a lot of cooperation
from them. Whenever I send any request by broadcast I usually get no more
than 50% responses. Others simply choose to ignore what I say to them. In
this situation, should I ever send broadcst message to my users to identify
dead e-mail accounts I would estimate that I get reply from about 500
people, another 400-500 people would simply discard my message and then
raise hell when I kill their accounts.
