Here's the 10,000 foot view....
I am assuming that your Bordermanager is the only firewall product and you
do not have a DMZ setup. Configure your NAT translation on your
bordermanager to NAT your email ports i.e. 25 and 110. Add IMAPI as well but
I don't have that address committed to memory. Setup Imail behind your
firewall with a private IP address.
Next...
Call whoever controls your domain thus your DNS entries. Have them setup an
MX record for your domain with the IP address of your public IP address at
your bordermanager. I usually like to setup a couple of public IP addressed
on the public side so I can use a specific IP address for a particular
service like email.

Newton Medical Center is looking real hard at IMail. From the demo, this
product just about does everything we need it to do except for surgery.
But I have some questions.... I wonder if some Imail Guru can give me a
hint....
We have a connection to the Internet through a Cisco router and a
fractional T-1 Line. We also have Novell's BorderManager. We also have a
good MX Record and A Record. That said, how does IMail connect to the
Internet? Do I have to configure two cards...one on the LAN (local) and
the other on the WAN (Internet)? We want to use it for internal mail as
well. Could I use NAT on the Bordermanger. How do you set up IMail for
use with a Proxy? Then what about DNS? Very little information in the
manual concerning this issues. Or maybe I should say the old brain can't
figure this out.
