The message ID is supposed to be included. Every email must have one. Look
at the header of every email you've ever received and you'll see a message
ID in each one.
I'm not sure what the email you are showing is, it looks like it was sent to
him because he requested his login information. iMail did not create it.
As far as I can see, nothing is happening that shouldn't be. There is no
iMail problem with your customer. Sounds like your customer is suffering
from an ID 10-T error to me..

Subject: [IMail Forum] Message-Id and security
I received a call from one of my customers concerning an I-mail problem.
Messages sent from their I-mail server are including message ID information.
My customer beleives this may be aleviated by applying the latest hotfix to
I-mail. Below is an e-mail from him which shows the problem:
This is your requested InformIT Login information:
Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Email Address = [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Password = userpassword
220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server servername.domainname.com (IMail 6.05 138577-4)
I have obviously parsed out the sensitive information here, in the interest
of protecting my customer's confidential information. FYI - the user
password was reported in clear text.
He beleives that this will not occur under the lastest version of Imail. I
have browsed the website for hotfixes, and I did not see anything that would
lead me to agree with that statement. Is there a patch for this, or perhaps
a simple (or even complicated!) configuration change that can be made to
secure this? Thanks in advance for any help!
Cheers,
Simon Bland
