>is this one too hard for the list???
hey, dude, ya wanna duke it out? :)))
I thought if I ignored the situation, it would die a silent, well
deserved death. :))
But, since you insist propping up this monstrosity in its cheap, pine
coffin ...
>I am setup imail and exchange on the same machine.
I am sick, where's my barf bag??
>Imail 6.0 listens on port 25 and the outside ip address
>exchange listens on port 2525 of the interior ip address
Quick, somebody pass me a mallet and a wooden stake ...
>the mail sits in the imail mailbox,
>how does exchange get the mail
>from the imail server?
Like everybody else.
Mad Dr. Exchange, or one of its deformed lab assistants downloaded
from Castle Redmondsky, would have to read the Imail boxes with POP3
or IMAP, tres protocolaire. There's no other medium for communing
with the spirits of Imail.
Just kind of Frankenstein are you trying to create and why? :)))
Why not have Exchange face Internet directly, it costs enough?
If you'd prefer to avoid further self-embarrassment, we can continue
this off list. :)))
