You've probably forgotten to set up a host alias in the imail admin
interface so that it can receive mail on the domain.com -without
mail.domain.com

Emne: [IMail Forum] Weird problem
Right now, we've got our mail server on the outside of our firewall, using a
routable IP address and it works fine. However, if I move the server to the
inside and give it an IP of 192.168.0.x, then it starts acting weird. It
will send mail out fine, but any mail sent to it, unless the mail address
specifically says [EMAIL PROTECTED], it will reject it. Sending mail
to [EMAIL PROTECTED] doesn't work, and it will come back with Undeliverable
message. I've checked our DNS and of course, we do have an MX record that
points domain.com to mail.domain.com. I'm not sure it's firewall related
because if I point a client on the inside directly to that IP (meaning, I'm
sending and receiving mail directly to/from the mail server and not going
through the firewall) it still doesn't work. I followed the instructions on
IPswitch's website on how to change the IP of a domain and I've been able to
do this before with success.
Any ideas? This one has got me stumped.
Ed
