Periodically my email server quits sending /receiving mail
i have been trying to figure out the problem for a few wks,
with No success as it appears random and the length of time it quits working
is random as well. Until a few days ago i was at a loss.
I was actually in front of the server this time when it quit.
What i noticed is that when i activated the 3rd lan card in the server
imail quit accepting mail. (this is to my private network which i keep
off for security purposes) What happened is whenever i turn the card on
imail stops using my ip address and starts using my local address.
to fix the problem i only have to turn the lan card off. i do not need to
reboot or stop/start imail. im just wondering if anyone has seen this happen
before, and if you know a fix. (besides not using the lan card or using a
backup server ;))
