I
agree it sucks. I hate playing the endless upgrade game.
However, your version is so old that you probably should upgrade
regardless of the invisible mail issue.

By the way, I tried talking to Ipswitch's tech
support about the invisible mail problem, but their answer was that they don't
support older product versions (we have 4.07). They want us to upgrade
before talking to them. I can understand
the part about not supporting old products, but I'm a little troubled by the
whole attitude:
First, they can't tell me whether the problem
will go away when I upgrade. They want to take my money, and then we'll see
what happens.
Second, except for the invisible mail problem,
I've been happy with our version number, 4.07. I have yet to see any
feature in 6.x that would entice us to upgrade. Why should we upgrade just to
fix a a bug in their original product?
Just out of curiosity, can Daniel or someone from
Ipswitch let me know how much an upgrade costs? I checked out the website, but
couldn't decide which scenario applies to us. We have 4.07 with
unlimited users, and no current service agreement.
